Pattern Five of the Minor Pentatonic Scale
Here is pattern five of the minor pentatonic scale. This last pattern of the pentatonic scale is the last one you need to know to start the patterns all over. After this one you are back to pattern one.
Start with the second and fourth fingers for G and A. Do the same for the fifth string notes. Use fingers one and four for notes E, G, A, and C on strings four and three. Then for strings two and one use fingers two and four.
Well how did you do playing the fifth minor scale pattern?
This pattern is a fairly easy one to finger and play. Experiment with the fingering choice that fits your style. My fingering choice is just a suggestion.

What to do now?
1. Add this last pattern and memorize all played so far.
2. Play up and down all patterns in a continuous manner for an exercise.
3. Apply these patterns to your own solos.
4. Turn on a song or backing track on YouTube in the key of A minor and try to improvise a solo.
5. Try to figure out a solo as close as you can using these patterns.
